about marissa
Marissa Liza, L.Ac.
I have been in the acupuncture industry for over fifteen years. I started working in an acupuncture practice in 2005 as a temp for front desk position. I ended up staying there for over eight years growing the practice, learning major medical insurance, and managing day to operations. I saw so many miracles and people getting better that I finally decided that I wanted to practice this amazing medicine and went to acupuncture school.
I started in private practice straight out of school seeing five patients a week to consistently seeing over seventy patients a week, however three years into my practice I was physically, mentally and emotionally drained. No time for family, too exhausted to hang out with friends and my own health was failing. I felt it was my duty to fix everyone, that I was responsible for every part of them. I had so much empathy with no boundaries and no systems to maintain my own health and the health of my practice.
It was only until I healed my inner self, gained confidence and who I am and communicated effectively and authentically to my patients that myself and practice changed. I don’t have to be anyone but myself.
As a licensed acupuncturist, you have the clinical skills. With my program, you develop skills and self-confidence so that you and your practice can thrive. I teach you systems and boundaries so that you are practicing in a way that feels authentic to you.
